“Help was not promised, lovely girl.On August 17, we launched the Colonial Marines Operations Manual – a complete campaign module for the award-winning official ALIEN roleplaying game. I like the fact you can play from a tablet, though. I may try and play it over upcoming spring break, but it’s heavy on the rules and I hear the learning curve is quite steep. Since it was located in Norway, I assume that people who played were local? I’m thinking in terms of living in the States- like an east coast resident would choose an east coast server in an online game, etc. I no longer remember the username, let alone the password. I have an account there that I haven’t accessed in 2 years. Oddly, I may not be able to try this one though. For instance, on the one I used to play out of Oslo, Norway, my mentor was one of the administrators/programmers, so I had the benefit of gaining my sea legs under one of the most powerful characters in the game period. They show you the ropes, help you gain a few levels and some decent equipment, then send you off on your own. Usually you want to hook up with someone higher level at first. Of course, there’s usually a place where you can access and print out a bunch of game info. Anyone who ever played any of the old Zork games could figure out the commands pretty easy.
